Void + Vessel + Light

Visual Impact

A lone dark figure stands before an immense illuminated tiled wall inside a stark monochrome chamber. The body gives the room a human measure, turning an abstract field of tile and light into the physical experience of standing before something immense. Its scale is understood through a single stance.

Artistic Detail

The tiled wall rises as a pale grid, its repeated joints supplying measure across the otherwise vast surface. The figure sits low and dark, sharply distinct from the light. Floor and side walls remain spare, directing attention to proportion, repetition, and the meeting of body and structure.

Interior Context

Black, white, and grey work with concrete, stone, lacquer, or pale wood. The broad architectural field suits a living room, study, or long hallway and can provide visual order within a salon of smaller, more detailed works. Let it run large above a long console so the luminous wall becomes architectural; keep it solo and place the figure near normal sightline.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Void + Vessel + Light uses one standing person to make scale bodily. The tiled plane, reflective floor, and surrounding void remain open to interpretation without naming a building. The standing figure makes monumental space legible through one vulnerable body.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
