Underfoot

Visual Impact

Two bare feet plant firmly on dark fabric, viewed from above in hard monochrome light with toes, veins, and tendons visible. Weight is visible in the planted stance and compressed cloth beneath it. The familiarity of bare feet makes the close anatomical view unexpectedly intimate.

Artistic Detail

The feet sit side by side but differ slightly in angle and pressure, keeping the near symmetry alive. Hard light describes tendons and veins, then falls sharply into the folds below. Dark fabric acts as both ground and frame for the pale anatomical forms.

Interior Context

Black, white, and grey pair easily with concrete, oak, linen, or colored walls. The overhead crop works in a bedroom, dressing area, or hall and can connect full-body figures to more abstract studies of hands and skin. Keep it medium above a low bench or in a dressing area; use it as the stabilizing square within a group of body fragments.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Planted feet, visible tendons, and crushed fabric make physical weight the subject. In Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the body is approached through touch and stance rather than a face. Touch begins with the feet that carry the rest of us.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
