Under Water Trunks

Visual Impact

A man stands in clear blue-green water, cropped from chest to thigh in pale swim trunks as shifting bands of sun move across skin and cloth. The close view keeps no horizon or pool edge, only the physical relation between body and water. Every ripple redraws what appears stable.

Artistic Detail

Torso and shorts create a central vertical block while ripples bend around and over them. Pale fabric catches blue-green reflections and remains distinct from warmer skin. The omitted face and setting concentrate attention on waistband, hands, submerged legs, and changing surface.

Interior Context

Give the vertical crop enough scale for reflected lines to remain distinct across the trunks. A bath, bedroom, or pool-house wall is a natural placement. Pair it with Under Water Speedo; pale framing opens the water while black gives the crop a firmer edge.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Water acts on body, cloth, and color, changing what appears stable from one ripple to the next. Pale trunks distinguish this study from its darker companion and make the pair useful across a bath, pool house, or bedroom.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
