Swimmer's Heat - No. 2

Visual Impact

Two wet-haired swimmers stand chest-deep in warm low pool light, with the nearer face sharp and a blue-and-white lane rope at right. One swimmer meets the viewer while the second remains behind him, making nearness and companionship legible through depth rather than a stated relationship.

Artistic Detail

The nearer swimmer establishes the focal plane while the second face recedes behind, softened by distance and lower contrast. Water cuts both bodies at the same horizontal level. At right, the lane rope repeats blue and white in a crisp sequence against the dark surface.

Interior Context

Deep teal, warm skin, blue, and white work with glazed tile, walnut, brushed steel, or pale stone. Its horizontal format suits a bathroom or bedroom and can balance more solitary swimmer studies with a two-figure composition. Choose a medium-to-large horizontal format beside a bath or above a low cabinet; keep it solo so both faces and the lane rope remain distinct.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Two swimmers at different depths make this the series' social interval. Within Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, closeness is visible without assigning identity or relationship. Two figures make water a social setting rather than a backdrop.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
