Visual Impact

A shaggy white dog sits beside a cropped figure’s bare legs and black shorts, both facing forward against charcoal ground. The low view recalls the way a dog is first noticed at human scale: face, fur, feet, and stance before any larger scene. Pale forms and a faint floor reflection keep the pairing direct.

Artistic Detail

The square crop removes nearly every clue to place and aligns the dog and legs on one frontal plane. Irregular white fur breaks the smooth verticals of skin and cloth, while the dark floor joins both subjects through a narrow reflection.

Interior Context

A medium square preserves the dog’s coat and faint floor reflection without making the pairing monumental. Above an entry console or low cabinet, the centered stance reads cleanly from across the room. Pair it with another Side by Side work; a dark frame strengthens the charcoal edge.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

The dog’s shaggy coat beside bare legs is the lasting point: two forms sharing one ground and forward stance. The stripped setting makes the comparison easy to live with. See related figure studies in the Queer Art & Gay Wall Art Edit.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
