Visual Impact

A figure folds onto a wooden floor as a hard diagonal of sunlight crosses the face, chest, raised knee, and extended foot. The compressed posture and sharp sun place withdrawal and exposure in the same physical frame, while the bare floor gives the body nowhere to disappear.

Artistic Detail

The raised knee and extended foot create opposing diagonals within the low pose, while the beam of light cuts across both and unifies the scattered limbs. Wood grain remains visible beneath the body. The face is partly revealed, keeping expression secondary to shape and illumination.

Interior Context

Warm wood, black shadow, and skin tones fit oak, dark paint, leather, or cream textiles. The low compressed form can sit above a bench or cabinet, or introduce a strong diagonal into a portrait grouping. At medium-to-large scale, place the figure near a doorway or over a low bench, leaving the sun band as the wall's only diagonal.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

A body folded into one strip of sun makes physical retreat visible. Within Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the work gives vulnerability form without assigning a story to the sitter. Sunlight makes a private feeling physically visible.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
