Rover Field Study - No. 13

Visual Impact

A dark utility vehicle stands beside a fog-filled lake on wet ground below tall conifers and a pale sky. The machine feels absorbed by weather rather than displayed within it. Wet ground, still water, and trees dissolving into fog recall arrival at a lake before the landscape has fully emerged.

Artistic Detail

The rear three-quarter view gives the vehicle's squared body, spare-wheel mass, upright window, riveted panels, and heavy tread a dense lower anchor. Those hard details stand against fog-softened conifers, lake, and sky, making engineered form one measured interruption in the vertical landscape.

Interior Context

Deep green, charcoal, silver, and cream suit rooms with dark oak, slate, brushed metal, or natural wool. Choose a larger vertical format between windows or beside shelving; keep it solo so the pale upper field gives height while the dark lower corner anchors the wall.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Within Coastal Wall Art, the work treats water through atmosphere rather than brightness. Dark coachwork, wet earth, and a dissolving forest make arrival feel provisional and place-led. This work treats the vehicle as part of the weather rather than as an object on display.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
