Pool Boys

Visual Impact

Two swimmers rest their forearms on a pale pool edge, wet shoulders rising from deep teal water crossed by lane lines. The pause between laps is recognizable in their matched posture and separate focus. Sun catches skin and droplets while the pool’s measured structure keeps the scene physical, social, and free of staged drama.

Artistic Detail

The diagonal coping links both figures and separates skin from water. Dark lane markings repeat behind them, deepening perspective, while similar forearm positions create unity. Small differences in head and hand placement keep the pair from reading as a mirrored pose.

Interior Context

At larger landscape scale, both swimmers and the lane rhythm remain distinct. Above a long console, daybed, or pool-house bench, the coping line finds a natural counterpart. Add another water study if grouping it; a dark frame holds the teal field and pale edge in balance.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Wet arms on concrete, two separate points of focus, and water still moving around them capture the bodily language of rest after effort. The piece joins the Queer Art & Gay Wall Art Edit through its unforced view of male companionship and shared activity.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
