Patina Chain II

Visual Impact

Heavy links rise through a white field in turquoise-green, ochre, and rust-brown, their pits, weld lines, and dents left plainly visible. The object's physical weight is visible at every overlap, yet the changing color makes close inspection as important as mass. Each scar interrupts the regular chain rhythm.

Artistic Detail

The vertical sequence alternates broad curves with tight interlocks, carrying the eye upward through the frame. White negative space sharpens the outer contour of each link. Turquoise, ochre, and brown appear in irregular patches, revealing seams and indentations rather than forming a decorative pattern.

Interior Context

Turquoise, ochre, brown, and white complement concrete, oak, blackened steel, and woven neutrals. The square format can occupy a compact architectural bay or add a strong industrial interval to a wall of landscapes and figures. Use a medium square on a stair landing or above a cabinet; group it only with Chain works whose link scale is compatible.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Patina Chain II holds the midpoint between isolated interlock and extended column. Pits, weld lines, turquoise-green, ochre, and rust-brown make repeated contact the subject. This middle view makes repeated connection as important as the color held on each surface.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
