Motion in Blue - No. 1

Visual Impact

A bald shirtless figure runs to the right through deep blue light, with repeated arms and legs trailing behind. The repeated body records effort across time, not as a single ideal pose. Forward motion becomes a physical release through one saturated field. Blue carries each stride forward.

Artistic Detail

The leading torso remains most legible while translucent limbs repeat toward the left, marking the route of motion. Saturated blue unifies figure and field; darker contours keep the body from disappearing. The rightward lean gives the square frame a clear direction.

Interior Context

Deep blue and black can hold a room with pale oak, white upholstery, chrome, or warm neutral walls. The rightward movement suits a long passage, media room, or space above a console where the repeated figure can travel across the architecture. Use a larger square along a passage or above a console; hang it solo so the running sequence has clear space to travel.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Motion in Blue - No. 1 turns a male body into duration while preserving weight and direction. Within Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, physical energy replaces fixed identity as the subject. Forward motion becomes a form of release.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
