Mid-Fade

Visual Impact

A closely shaved head, fine chain, neck, and bare shoulders are centered against a pale blurred ground in black and white. The close rear view feels less anonymous than attentive; minute changes in the fade, neck, and chain become the way this person is known.

Artistic Detail

Closely shaved hair shifts subtly from crown to nape, providing texture within the otherwise spare silhouette. A thin chain draws a small curve below it. Broad shoulders create a stable base, and the blurred background prevents any hard edge from competing with the head’s outline.

Interior Context

Black, white, and soft grey suit stone, pale wood, dark lacquer, or brushed metal. The centered format works well above a small cabinet, beside a bed, or as the stabilizing middle image in a portrait grouping. Keep it medium above a small cabinet or beside a bed; align it with one rear-view portrait rather than placing it in a crowded salon wall.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

A precise fade and fine chain replace facial expression. In Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the work asks how much of a person can be recognized through the details seen from behind. The haircut records care, habit, and personal style at close range.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
