Locker Room - No. 1

Visual Impact

A shirtless figure in a dark cap sits wide-legged on a red bench against a plain pale wall under strong side light. The bench, cap, bare torso, and single visible white sock carry the setting without additional detail. His lowered gaze keeps attention on the broad seated posture and the sharp division between light and shadow.

Artistic Detail

The red bench forms a bright horizontal support beneath the seated body, while white socks mark the lower corners. Side light cuts across torso and legs, leaving the cap and background in deeper shadow. The wide stance establishes a triangular structure that stabilizes the close crop.

Interior Context

Red, charcoal, brown, and white sharpen rooms with dark wood, blackened metal, grey wool, or cream walls. For the horizontal format, choose medium-to-large scale above a low cabinet or bench; keep it solo so the broad seated pose, white socks, and red bench remain one clear structure.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

In Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the image makes room for masculinity after effort, when posture drops and performance stops. Its power lies in the ordinary privacy of recovery. The first Locker Room work is distinguished by its red bench and broad seated pose.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
