Fire Island Vintage - No. 3

Visual Impact

A raised arm cuts through the frame beside an oversized mirror ball as highlights flash across the figure's shoulders. Monochrome strips the room to skin, shadow, and scattered points of light, recalling the release of a dance floor while the tight crop keeps the movement immediate and slightly disorienting.

Artistic Detail

The mirror ball occupies one side as a field of small geometric facets; the body supplies a fluid counterform on the other. Strong highlights trace skin, arm, and shoulder before dissolving into black shadow. The tight crop keeps the action immediate and slightly disorienting.

Interior Context

Black, white, and silver-grey suit walnut, mirror, leather, brushed steel, or warm white walls. At medium-to-large scale, place this vertical work at a hall end or beside a bar cabinet; hang it solo as the active counterpoint to one still portrait, with enough wall above for the raised arm.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Within Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the dancing body holds pleasure as public motion. A raised arm, wet shoulders, and the mirror ball give this Fire Island Vintage work the charged release of a dance floor without reducing it to a generic nightlife scene.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
