Donnie Disco

Visual Impact

Donnie Disco brings a stemmed coupe close to the face of a man framed by metallic tinsel and starburst reflections. The lifted coupe creates a social gesture at close range. Face, hand, and metallic fringe recall the moment someone turns toward you across a crowded room.

Artistic Detail

The raised coupe overlaps the lower face, adding a clear circular rim and slender stem to the portrait. Behind it, vertical tinsel breaks into bright strips and pointed reflections, while the monochrome range keeps the man's features and hand visually connected.

Interior Context

Black, white, and silver suit a bar, dressing room, bedroom, or compact living space. The square format can punctuate a small wall or join fashion and nightlife portraits beside chrome, mirror, lacquer, velvet, or dark wood. Center the medium square above a bar cabinet or in a dressing area; hang it solo or beside one close disco portrait.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Donnie Disco makes one raised coupe enough to suggest company, style, and the charge of a room after dark, without naming the drink or venue. A familiar social gesture brings company into the portrait without showing another person.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
