Body of Water - No 5

Visual Impact

Wet dark hair, water droplets, and bare shoulders rise against a pale misted horizon in Body of Water - No 5. Droplets across the shoulders and the lowered head make the body feel newly emerged rather than posed. The viewer is held close to that instant when cold water, breath, and skin are still inseparable.

Artistic Detail

The figure occupies the lower center while the ocean and sky merge into a nearly blank field. Droplets and individual strands of hair provide close detail against that open ground, and the shoulders form a low arc that echoes the softened horizon.

Interior Context

The pale blue-grey range suits a bedroom, bath, dressing area, or coastal interior without literal nautical decoration. A medium solo placement over a small bedside chest keeps the droplets visible from across the room; hang the center near standing eye level.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

In Queer Art & Gay Wall Art, the turned body offers intimacy without access to the face, allowing recognition to begin with gesture and skin. This fifth Body of Water image brings the viewer close enough to register droplets and wet hair while leaving the figure unnamed.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
