Body of Water - No. 4

Visual Impact

A dark-haired figure seen from behind stands waist-deep among ripples, black rocks, and wet stone in Body of Water - No. 4. Water covers part of the body while ripples extend it into the dark pool. The rear view makes immersion both physical fact and compositional device, leaving the viewer close to a moment that remains private.

Artistic Detail

The figure's shoulders and spine create a vertical axis amid irregular rock shapes and circular ripples. Wet surfaces shift between black, grey, and reflected light, while the rear view keeps attention on the body's relationship to water rather than facial expression.

Interior Context

The dark, mineral palette suits a bath, bedroom, den, or a wall of water and figure studies. A medium-to-large solo placement in a bedroom or beside a bath keeps the torso close for near viewing; leave open wall around the dark water.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

For collectors of the Body of Water sequence, this work is the most enclosed: rock, reflection, and skin make immersion feel sheltering rather than scenic. The fourth Body of Water image places anatomy within rock, ripple, and reflected surface.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
