Body of Water - No. 2

Visual Impact

A dark-haired man stands chest-deep in pale water with his head lowered, surrounded by fine ripples and a long softened reflection. The body interrupts an otherwise nearly empty surface. That small human weight against so much water recalls the suspended feeling of stopping mid-swim, when movement continues around you.

Artistic Detail

The high viewpoint turns water into a continuous light field broken by head, shoulders, wake, and reflection. Dark wet hair supplies the sharpest value. Ripples widen outward in delicate lines, while the blurred vertical below gives the still pose directional depth.

Interior Context

A medium or larger vertical presentation lets the fine ripples remain visible without darkening the wall. A bath, bedroom, or wall beside a narrow cabinet suits the pale surface. Pair it with another Body of Water work; a black frame gives the water a clean edge.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Distance, reflection, and a lowered head distinguish this second study at the point where body meets water. In the Queer Art & Gay Wall Art Edit, its male figure adds an open-water register in which vulnerability can emerge without a named place or imposed mood.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
