Between Moments - No. 5

Visual Impact

A man in a black T-shirt and cut-off shorts sits on rumpled bedding in Between Moments - No. 5. Familiar clothes and the bent posture keep the body in everyday life, a pause on the bed that feels observed rather than arranged. Frayed denim makes the pause visibly ordinary.

Artistic Detail

Black jersey, frayed denim, bare skin, and creased fabric provide four distinct surfaces within a close horizontal crop. The seated pose creates a sequence of bent lines, while the warm light stays narrow enough to leave much of the surrounding bedding in shadow.

Interior Context

The work suits a bedroom, den, dressing room, or an informal portrait grouping. Black, denim blue, warm brown, and cream pair easily with oak, walnut, wool, and dark metal, while the landscape format works over a low cabinet. Use a medium horizontal placement above a low cabinet; pair it with one darker Between Moments work and keep both centerlines consistent.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Black jersey, frayed denim, and an unguarded seat make the portrait personal through ordinary detail. It joins Queer Art & Gay Wall Art without requiring a declared identity or narrative. Everyday clothes make the sitter feel encountered, not staged.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
