Barefoot Lakeshore

Visual Impact

A lone figure steps barefoot from a morning shoreline into still water, dark coat and cap doubled in a nearly complete reflection. Pale peach haze softens the opposite bank while one foot sends rings across the surface. The scene holds a recognizable threshold: the brief bodily decision between standing on land and entering cold water.

Artistic Detail

Three horizontal bands organize the view: hazed water and trees, a narrow curved bank, and the darker reflective plane below. The upright figure supplies scale, while the inverted double and widening ripples keep the low-contrast composition active.

Interior Context

At larger horizontal scale, the full reflection and fine ripples remain intact. Above a bench, bed, or low cabinet, the curved shore will carry the eye across the wall. Give Barefoot Lakeshore a separate wall rather than breaking the still field; smoked wood or black framing anchors the silhouette.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Bare feet, morning air, and the first disruption of still water make the scene bodily familiar. The doubled figure gives that memory its lasting pull. It joins the Coastal Wall Art Edit through shoreline, reflection, and human presence.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
