Afterglow - No. 2

Visual Impact

A cropped male torso, resting hand, hip, and thigh recline on pale bedding in Afterglow - No. 2. The hand and close crop make this the more tactile study, as if the body has settled into the cloth before the surrounding room returns to focus. Warm skin and rumpled fabric keep the view physically close.

Artistic Detail

The tight crop follows the arc from rib cage to hip and thigh, using folds in the bedding as a softer counterpoint. Brown, cream, and muted grey compress the palette, while small tonal shifts keep the body's planes and the fabric's rumpled surface distinct.

Interior Context

The horizontal work fits above a bed, cabinet, or bench. Its warm neutral range can sit with walnut, oak, cream upholstery, bronze, or blackened metal in a bedroom, dressing room, or a salon wall devoted to the figure. Choose a medium horizontal format above a bed or low cabinet; pair it with No. 1 when both crops carry equal visual weight.

Quality & Presentation

Produced on museum-grade archival cotton rag paper and professionally framed in solid wood, the work is available in the sizes and frame finishes shown in the product options.

For Your Collection

Fabric, hand, and cropped anatomy carry the second Afterglow work. It enters Queer Art & Gay Wall Art through a male body seen at rest, close enough for texture to matter. A resting hand gives the cropped body its human scale.

The provenance of this piece begins with you.

Framing Guide

Made to last, every work is framed to order in wood with white mat board and UV-filtering acrylic.

01
Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.
02
White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.
03
UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.
04
Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
05
Custom sizing
Need a different size? Custom dimensions are available by request. Contact us before ordering so we can confirm artwork ratio, print resolution, frame availability, and pricing.

Frame dimensions describe the moulding profile. Finished dimensions vary according to the selected artwork size and mat.
