Visual Impact

A curly-haired figure in a dark raised collar faces the viewer as bands of blind-filtered light cross the face and wall. The direct gaze survives every interruption of blind-filtered light. That persistence gives the portrait its human charge: the face remains present even as brightness and shadow divide it into alternating bands.

Artistic Detail

The raised collar forms a dark base beneath the face, while curls break the upper outline into smaller shapes. Parallel light bands travel across both figure and background, binding them into one plane. The direct gaze remains legible even where the shadows divide it.

Interior Context

Black, white, and grey fit rooms with almost any color, especially dark millwork, pale oak, or stone. Use a medium-to-large solo placement in a study or bedroom, where the eyes can sit near standing sightline and the stripe pattern has open wall around it.

Wood frames, made to order
Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.

White mat board
Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.

UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.

Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
