Visual Impact

A shirtless man lifts pale cloth across his face, holding it in place with both hands as his bare torso remains fully visible. The gesture reverses the usual terms of a portrait: concealment becomes active, and the hands tell us more than an expression could. In black and white, fabric folds and body hair remain sharply present.

Artistic Detail

The cloth creates a strong horizontal band across the face, countered by two raised forearms and the vertical torso below. Monochrome tones keep attention on fingers, fabric folds, hair, and skin, while the plain wall removes any clue to setting.

Interior Context

Black, white, warm skin, and pale cloth work with oak, dark paint, stone, or brushed metal. Use the vertical format in a dressing area or bedroom; hang it solo or beside one face-withheld portrait at matching height, leaving open wall around the raised hands and concealed face.

Each frame is built and assembled for the selected artwork. Wood grain and tone vary naturally, particularly in Natural and Deep Natural.

Both frame styles use white mat board scaled to the selected artwork size. Discovery Series works are set within a cut 2.4 mm conservation-grade mat. Editions Series works are floated over an uncut mat, with a spacer preventing the artwork from touching the acrylic.

UV-filtering acrylic
Both frame styles use clear UV-filtering acrylic. In the Editions Series Frame, a spacer keeps the floated artwork from touching the acrylic.

Ready to hang
Discovery Series Frames use a Cobra hook up to 70 × 100 cm and a sawtooth hanger above that size. Editions Series Frames arrive with hardware selected for the finished size and weight.
